Men used the first form of bags in medieval times. They were used for a functional purpose, until the 1700s to 1800s, women started to wear reticules outside their elaborate dresses. These reticules were highly embellished and decorated to match their dresses. Now, handbags are an enormous industry where the race of creating the "It" bag is at its best time of creativity. Throughout history, it is noticeable that handbags started as miniature bags, then big structured bags, and then small bags again. Fashion is a cycle, and there's no exception to accessories and bags. In the future, we will see small bags with creative structures that will elevate casual outfits.
