ABOUT ME
I am a fashion designer who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design with University Honors from Dominican University in December 2020. I got interested in fashion design because it is an industry that keeps growing with unlimited creativity. Fashion allows us to explore the possibilities and overcome the impossible. I have a four-year background in managing a retail store as a Sales Lead, Assistant Store Manager, and most importantly an Interim Store Manager at Francesca's Collections, which allowed me to learn how to coach and lead others to drive sales by enriching their customer service and retail performance. I have styled and connected with clientele daily, as it brings joy to me to help others, especially when it comes to fashion. Currently, I am an Assistant Apparel Technical Designer at Jockey International, Inc. since August 2021.
With my four-year college degree and current Assistant Apparel Technical Designer experience, I have gained many technical skills to take design concepts to tangible products, which include Gerber AccuMark Pattern Making, technical illustrations, fashion illustrations, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, pattern making, and more. In my academic career, I have participated in four fashion shows as a designer, model, backstage dresser, and fundraiser. I am determined, a problem-solver, and a hard worker; Any challenge that comes through, I tackle with confidence and never quit until the problem is solved. In my fashion career, my goal is to continue to pursue a career in apparel design to gain knowledge of the apparel production industry.
